Innovation Park Watford

The BRE Watford Innovation Park is the flagship development of an international network of innovation parks

Launched in 2005, the Park at BRE's headquarters in Garston, Watford, continues to set the standard for BRE's Innovation Parks across the world.  The Park started life as a small-scale demonstration of modern-methods-of-construction (MMC) and quickly developed in a facility rich in innovation.

The Watford Park attracts around 20,000 visitors per year, from within the UK and overseas, and has 12 full-scale demonstration buildings.

BRE Innovation Parks Network First Convention of Partners

5-6 March 2018, BRE, Watford

The BRE Innovation Parks Network is a global collaboration of research and demonstration facilities which inform the future of the built environment.  With lead partners in five countries around the world, and countless academics and industry organisations involved, this unique initiative can play a lead role in guiding the built environment to deliver truly sustainable outcomes.

BRE Innovation Parks Network partners from around the world will convene for the first time to present their approaches, challenges and ambitions for shaping buildings, infrastructure, and communities via their Innovation Park activities.  This will provide a truly international perspective on the challenges faced by the built environment and the role it plays in economic and societal development.  The discussions will focus on identifying a short list of common themes on which the Innovation Parks Network can collaborate and develop future opportunities.  BRE will prepare a 'state-of-the-art' report as a summary of discussion and findings from the Convention.

This can lead into BREEAM assessments of buildings and homes.
